THE LOCAL AREA
Apartment Oriana is just five minutes walk in a westerly direction to the fishing village of Milna.
In Milna amongest the local amenities you will find 3 small supermarkets, a post office, a tourist office, banks with cash dispensers a newsagent, several excellant restaurants and a bakery.
There are many places to have a few beers by the waters front, where you can enjoy several hours watching charter yachts trying to moor up!
If you are willing to get up early enough local fisherman return at about 8.30am with their daily catch which they are more than willing to sell for a few Kuna.
To the east is a 10 minute walk to the main bathing areas, where you can enjoy the crystal clear warm waters of the Adriatic. Here are also sectioned off areas for safe swimming for children and families.
Other activities in Milna include diving, snorkelling and sailing. A diving centre is only a minutes walk from Oriana apartments.
Milna town also offers hire of cars, motorbikes and bicycles. If you don't fancy driving yourself the buses are punctual, cheap and serve the whole island via Supetar, the Milna bus stop can be found at the far end of the town by the marina and resturant Palma.
A local Catermaran sails regularly from Milna to Split it is inexpensive and only takes 40 minutes to cross to the main land.
